Canon PIXMA E4210 Drivers Download– The Canon Pixma G4210 Wireless MegaTank All-in-One is a versatile printer designed to cater to the needs of home-based setups and small offices. This article explores the printer’s features, connectivity options, printing speeds, output quality, and cost-effectiveness, highlighting its suitability for businesses prioritizing both quality and budget.

In this comprehensive review, we’ll delve into the various aspects of this printer’s performance, features, and value proposition.

Introducing Connectivity Options and Utilities

In a noteworthy upgrade from the prior iteration, the G4210 boasts an array of enhanced connectivity options. Of particular significance are the expanded mobile utilities and a range of document-finishing and photo-enhancement functions. Although it’s impractical to discuss each utility individually in this context, their collective impact is substantial.

The printer offers fundamental connectivity through Wi-Fi, a USB connection to a single PC, and the noteworthy addition of Ethernet connectivity—a feature absent in previous MegaTank models. Additionally, the Canon Print app facilitates internet-based document printing, while utilities like Easy PhotoPrint+ 8, Google Cloud Print, Mopria, Pixma Cloud Link, and My Image Garden further enhance the printing experience. It’s worth noting that support for Instagram’s 5-by-5-inch square photos is included, but a notable omission is an inability to print from or scan to flash memory devices, such as USB thumb drives or SD memory cards—a rarity in a printer of this caliber.

Measured Print Speeds

The G4210, like its counterparts in the MegaTank series, doesn’t boast the swiftest page-per-minute (ppm) rating. With 8.8ppm for monochrome pages and 5ppm for color, it falls behind its competitors in this aspect. However, during our testing, the printer failed to achieve or surpass these ratings. When printing a 12-page monochrome document, the G4210 managed 8.3ppm—1.2ppm faster than its predecessor. The employment of an Ethernet connection likely contributed to this improvement over the USB connection utilized in the earlier model.

In contrast, Epson’s ET-3750 exhibited a 7ppm advantage over the G4210 in printing the same document, while Brother’s MFC-J775DW demonstrated a 3.7ppm lead. Combining the results from various document types, the G4210 averaged 4.5 ppm. While this places it a tad ahead of certain Pixma models, it lags behind the ET-3750 by approximately 3.5ppm and narrowly surpasses the MFC-J775DW by 0.2ppm. Notably, the G4210 completed the printing of detailed 6-by-4-inch snapshots in approximately 22 seconds—a performance expected from an AIO printer of this caliber.

Outstanding Output Quality

While the MegaTank series may not excel in print speed, it consistently delivers impressive print quality, particularly in the realm of photographs and graphics. Canon Pixma printers are renowned for their photo-printing prowess, and the G4210 is no exception. Although its print speeds might be slightly slower than the competition, the resulting output warrants the brief wait.

Text and graphics demonstrate exceptional quality, with legible and attractive fonts even at small sizes. Complex charts and graphics showcase well-defined lines, gradients, and immaculate fills. The printer’s capacity to reproduce highly detailed images on premium glossy photo paper rivals that of higher-tier models such as the Pixma TS9120 and TS6120.

Cost-Efficient Ink Usage

One of the most compelling aspects of the MegaTank G4210 is its cost-efficient ink consumption. Tailored for users printing or copying around 200 to 300 pages monthly, this printer eliminates the need for frequent ink replacements. Canon generously includes enough black ink for up to 18,000 black pages and 7,000 color pages. This equates to a remarkable 36 months of printing 500 monochrome pages each month.

In the event replacement ink is required, the cost remains impressively low—less than three-tenths of a cent per monochrome page and just under 1 cent for color pages. While this cost-effective proposition is indeed commendable, certain EcoTank models from Epson offer comparable programs. Epson’s ET-3750, for instance, features 14,000 pages worth of black ink in the box, with replacement ink bottles offering similar pricing and page yields. Currently, considering factors like purchase price and initial ink content, the G4210 maintains a competitive edge in running costs compared to the ET-3750.

A Confluence of Quality and Efficiency

The Canon Pixma G4210 caters to a specific audience—those who prioritize quality prints and economical operation over lightning-fast print speeds. For sporadic users, bulk ink machines like the G4210 might not be the ideal choice. However, in scenarios where exceptional print quality and affordability are paramount, this printer shines brightly. While conventional AIOs offer lower upfront costs, they often come with higher consumable expenses. In such contexts, the G4210 emerges as an excellent solution, providing an optimal balance of superior output and cost efficiency.
