Canon Pixma MG5320 Printer Driver Download
Canon Pixma MG5320 Printer Driver Download – The Pixma MG5320 has a thinner skyline than we’re used to seeing from canon and has a unique design with folding trays to reduce the overall footprint. The printer measures 17.8 inches wide, 14.5 inches deep, and just below 7-inch paper trays folded.
Mg5320 also costs $50 less than mg6120 because it does not feature a touch screen panel. We actually prefer additional fixed buttons on the control panel, because we make it easy to quickly find the buttons needed to access a job. The top of the printer hosts a one-touch copy, scan, and print buttons, but it also converts a tactile home button and a circular dial that clicks on a 3-inch LCD screen while navigating between menus. You can adjust the brightness level of the screen by navigating in the Settings menu, and the screen can be tilted back and forth to reach the viewing angle you want.
The 150-sheet paper trays, which come out from the top and bottom of the MG5320, allow horizontal and vertical movement to accept a variety of paper sizes, from 4×6 inch snapshots to legal-sized sheets. The overall 300-page capacity means that you can store the standard paper on the sub tray and photo paper in the ADF, and the paper sensor inside automatically knows which one you can grab depending on your work. Trays are made of light plastic that feels easy to break themselves; We’re worried about their resilience.
How you choose to connect the printer to the computer, it’s easy to set up the printer, and the installation disc gives you two options for screen instructions: 802.11 b/g/n wireless or a simple USB cable. Most printers in this range also include an Ethernet port for the wired network in small offices, but Canon mg5320 skips this important feature, so you can withdraw an extra $50 from your wallet if you prefer instead $200 MG6120. Regardless, if you plan to use the printer at home or with a single computer, that will not be a problem.
USB setup is standard for printers and is easy to follow instructions, and the same applies to the Wi-Fi setup. If you have a wireless router with a Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button, all you have to do is press the button and automatically connect the Pixma MG5320 to your network without having to enter your username and password. Otherwise, make sure you have this information.
From here, you can choose Easy Install for simple help or whatever extra features you want to sort – these include Easy-PhotoPrint EX to manage digital photos, MP Navigator EX to guide you through the scan process, and Pixma cloud link that lets you print directly from the Canon Image Gateway portal or Picasa account. Keep in mind that if you go with the comprehensive Easy Install, you need more free storage on your hard drive.
After the installation is complete, Windows users notice a few new buttons that appear on the taskbar at the bottom right of the screen. These shortcuts are designed to provide quick access to the five most commonly used printer functions: Document scanning, Layout Printing, Photo Printing, Show Home Screen, and Hide Toolbar.
The MG5320 also includes HD Film Printing, which allows you to take snapshots of canon’s videos captured with compatible Canon HD camcorders. We tested the printer from the top flight with the Canon PowerShot S95 handheld camera and were impressed by step-by-step instructions from The Canon Solution Menu EX.
With the software, you can also get video images and create a moving clip to grab motionless shots from the video. It is as simple as pressing the “capture” button to select a video snippet and capture a group of 10 frames or select a single image. After that, you can have an image to reduce and sharpen noise, and although the SD95 is capable of only 720p video resolution, the software supports real 1080p digital SLR cameras like Canon EOS 5D Mark II. When this is complete, you can print custom disk and jewelry box labels using the multipurpose tray installed just above the paper input tray and personalize them using templates that can be accessed through the software package.
Finally, Canon’s new HD Movie Printing tool allows you to combine multiple frames in a video into a single snapshot (for example, you can combine all your golf stroke locations into a single photo). The cover of the MG5320 lifts to reveal five-ink cartridge compartments for cyan, magenta, yellow and black ink tanks, and contains another high-capacity pigment black cartridge that inks when you switch to monochrome mode only in driver preferences.
Since this only gets depleted in color printing mode, the small black cartridge must extend its longevity, and mg5320 users need to save all the cost you can get, according to Canon, the cost per page of each ink set costs 5.2 cents and 13.4 cents for color. These prices are significantly higher than the average cost for consumables, and the Canon Web store mysteriously does not sell high-capacity cartridges for this model.
Print functions aside, the copy function of the MG5320 has all the features you’d expect from a multifunction printer. You can enlarge the original copy by up to 400 percent or fit the entire document into one page. Other options include two-sided copying, borderless copying, full iteration, cropped copy, and one-on-one photo collages.
The scan is also typical of options that are scanned directly to your computer, as an e-mail attachment, or as a PDF, or open only in an app. You can save all documents as TIFF, JPEG, bitmap, or PDF files, and the browser now supports movies and negatives as well. Negative and slide holders live under the document protector under the cover, and the scanner supports document sizes of up to 8.5×11 inches. If you tend to scan at the highest resolution available, the MG6120 can reach 4,800×4,800 dots (dpi) per inch.
We were surprised by the difference between mg5320’s impressive text and presentation speed output and when it took color graphics to print photos and pages. Epson does not match the WorkForce 610 and falls to second place with 8.11 pages per minute in the text sheet test, then loses momentum and falls to rock bottom with a 2.06-page heavy-colored graphic and 1.02 full-color photo image per minute. Despite these polarizing speed test results, you are unlikely to notice differences as consumers unless you constantly print a large number of text or photos. Nevertheless, the MG5320 is not the best performance for intensive offices, although we would not hesitate to show the quality of output in a board presentation.
Pixma MG5320 performed well in our quality review by pressing solid and dense text with full-form characters up to 5-point font size. The color chart test appeared solid and evenly distributed, but we made a difference in small portions with more neutral shades than the original, especially in areas with gradual color gradients and skin tones. To confirm, we repeated the test of three iterations and consistent throughout the defects, although it is unlikely to be noticed by most eyes. In most cases, snapshots appeared with vivid coloring and even shades.
Service and support
Canon supports the Pixma MG5320 with a standard annual limited warranty program with InstantExchange and one year of free phone support. The printer’s product page includes frequently asked questions, registration, recycling information, driver downloads, and other information.
The Canon Pixma MG5320 is offset by useful photo printing tools such as slower printing speeds, HD Movie Print, Pixma Cloud Link, disc printing, and dual paper trays that allow you to store up to 300 pages at the same time. In the future, we’d like to see the Ethernet connection, but we strongly recommend this printer to photo enthusiasts who need a budget-friendly assistant.
